EAPO: official fees increase

On December 1, 2016, the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) announced increase in fees coming into force on January 1, 2017. The changes concern fees for main stages of Eurasian patent registration procedure, namely filing, examination, grant, etc.

The fees will be increased on average by 15%. Thus, starting from January 1, 2017 filing fee will constitute 28,000 RUB (approx. 410 EUR). Examination will cost 30,000 RUB (approx. 439 EUR) while grant fee will be increased to 18,000 RUB (approx. 263 EUR). However, certain fees, namely for late claiming priority, restoration of term for entry into Eurasian PCT regional phase, acceleration of publication of an application, change of name or address, remain unchanged. It is also worth mentioning that some new fees will be introduced. For your reference, below are more details concerning the changes to be implemented.
