Fee increase for Intellectual Property rights in Colombia

The Industrial Property Office of Colombia has updated its fee schedule for patent, design and trademark registration by means of Resolution 61037/2017. The new charges apply to all types of IPR, including national patents on invention and utility model, PCT national phase entry, protection of trademarks and industrial designs in Colombia as of January 1, 2018.

These changes are common for all fees with the increase of 5.7-6% for filing and prosecution of patents, utility models, and designs. The same applies to fees related to trademark protection.

IP-Coster quotation system is updated accordingly to ensure that your quotes are relevant and up-to-date. If you require more information on IPR protection in Colombia, please visit our applicant’s guide to check on the basic requirements for registration.
