Jordan: orientation towards PCT

The Council of Ministers of Jordan has approved the decision to deposit the instrument of accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

The accession of Jordan to the PCT would simplify and give more opportunities for IP protection both to national applicants who would be able to protect their inventions in other countries via the international route and foreign applicants who want to obtain patent protection in Jordan via designating the Jordanian IP Office for nationalisation of their PCT applications.

Stay with us to be updated on further developments on the matter. Meanwhile, at the moment, patent protection in Jordan is possible via filing a national patent application. To get an actual quote with accurate official and competitive agent fees, please visit our quotation system.
