Macedonia: Significant discount on first filed inventions

The new rule in Macedonia was implemented with the purpose of encouraging the inventive activity. According to the information from the State Office of the Industrial Property, the applicant being the inventor, who has submitted the first application for a patent in Macedonia is exempted from payment of certain official fees. In particular, it concerns the following fees:

-  correction of defects of the application in formal examination procedure (MKD 500)

-  correction of the application in substantive examination procedure (MKD 1000)

-  publication of granted patent for 10 years (MKD 1500)

-  printing patent specification (MKD 500 per page)

-  for issuing patent certificate  (MKD 1000)
