Philippines: official fee increase

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) will introduce new fees for IP services on January 1, 2017.

The overall fee structure has been revised, and the fees will be increased by up to 20%. From January 1, 2017, the fee for filing a patent application will constitute 2,000 PHP (40 USD) and 4,320 PHP (87 USD) for small and big entities correspondingly. Utility model and design filing will cost 1,720 PHP (35 USD) for small entities while big entities will be charged 3,600 PHP (72 USD). Trademark filing fee will be increased up to 1,200 PHP (24 USD) for small entities and 2,592 PHP (52 USD) for big entities. Fees for other stages of IP protection will be raised as well. Besides, the IPOPHL is introducing fees for issuance of patents.

As soon as the new fees enter into force, our system will be duly updated.
