Russia joins the Hague System

The Russian Federation ratified the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement on November 30, 2017. The provisions of the Geneva Act will become effective in Russia on February 28, 2018. Starting this date, the applicants in Russia will be able to take advantages of the Hague System obtaining uniform protection in 82 countries. Besides, foreign designers and companies will have an opportunity to designate Russia when filing a single international application and paying one set of the prescribed fees.
