The invention relates to a polymer comprising or essentially consisting of monomer units derived from ethylene, vinylacetate and optionally, a termonomer selected from glycidyl methacrylate, vinyl methac- rylate, and maleic anhydride, wherein the weight content of monomer units derived from vinylacetate is greater than 50 wt.-%, relative to the total weight of the polymer. The polymer is useful for manufactur- ing a cathode for a battery cell. The invention further relates to a cathode of a battery cell comprising the polymer as well as to a composition comprising the polymer and γ-valerolactone.

L'invention concerne un polymère comprenant ou constitué essentiellement d'unités monomères dérivées d'éthylène, d'acétate de vinyle et éventuellement d'un termonomère choisi parmi le méthacrylate de glycidyle, le méthacrylate de vinyle et l'anhydride maléique, la teneur en poids d'unités monomères dérivées de vinylacétate étant supérieure à 50 % en poids, par rapport au poids total du polymère. Le polymère est utile pour fabriquer une cathode pour une cellule de batterie. L'invention concerne en outre une cathode d'une cellule de batterie comprenant le polymère ainsi qu'une composition comprenant le polymère et la gamma-valérolactone.
