Verfahren zur Informationsausgabe an den Fahrer eines Kraftfahrzeugs, wobei eine geometrische Position des Kraftfahrzeugs erfasst wird und wenigstens eine Information, welche für einen Verkehrsstau bezüglich einer gegenwärtigen oder zukünftigen Fahrtstrecke des Kraftfahrzeugs charakteristisch ist, erfasst wird und an den Fahrer des Kraftfahrzeugs wenigstens eine Information ausgegeben wird, welche für diesen Verkehrsstau charakteristisch ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Information in einen Sichtbereich des Fahrers ausgegeben, in welchem von dem Fahrer auch der vor dem Kraftfahrzeug liegende Straßenverkehr beobachtbar ist.

The invention relates to a method for outputting information to the driver of a motor vehicle, wherein a geometric position of the motor vehicle is detected and at least one item of information characteristic of traffic congestion relating to a current or future trip segment of the motor vehicle is detected and at least one item of information characteristic of this traffic congestion is output to the driver of the motor vehicle. La présente invention concerne un procédé pour délivrer des informations au conducteur d'un véhicule automobile, dans lequel une position géométrique du véhicule automobile est détectée et au moins une information caractéristique de congestion de trafic relative à un segment de trajet actuel ou futur du véhicule automobile est détectée et au moins une information caractéristique de cette congestion de trafic est délivrée au conducteur du véhicule automobile.
