Abstract [English] A cartridge holder adapted to receive a cylindrical drug cartridge with a circumferential proximal edge. The cartridge holder proximal end comprises an opening allowing a cartridge to be inserted, as well as a pair of circumferentially arranged flexible support arms. Each support arm has a free end portion with a protrusion extending into the opening, the flexibility of the arm allowing the protrusion to be moved out of the opening. A free space is provided distally of the flexible support arm allowing the support arm to be moved in the distal direction. A distally directed axial force exerted on the flexible arm will move the protrusion into engagement with an inserted cartridge circumferential edge and, subsequently, bend the flexible arm into the free space, thereby exerting a force on the cartridge circumferential edge moving the cartridge distal outlet end into engagement with the cartridge holder distal portion.
