Abstract [English] The present invention discloses a method for the selective reduction of disulfide bonds in an immunoglobulin composition. More specifically, the method disclosed in the current invention is capable of selectively reducing the inter-chain disulfide bond between the light and heavy chain of an immunoglobulin without the use of commonly used chemicals such as DTT, DTE, and β- mercaptoethanol. The method is advantageous over the existing methods as it eliminates the need of an additional purification step to remove the chemicals used for reduction, i.e., DTT, DTE, etc. before subjecting the immunoglobulin sample for further analyses such as LC-MS.. [French] La présente invention concerne un procédé de réduction sélective de liaisons disulfure dans une composition d'immunoglobuline. Plus particulièrement, le procédé décrit dans la présente invention peut réduire de manière sélective la liaison disulfure inter-chaîne entre la chaîne légère et lourde d'une immunoglobuline sans utilisation de produits chimiques couramment utilisés tels que DTT, DTE et β-mercaptoéthanol. Le procédé est avantageux par rapport aux procédés existants car il élimine le besoin d'une étape de purification supplémentaire pour éliminer les produits chimiques utilisés pour la réduction, c'est-à-dire, DTT, DTE, etc. avant de soumettre l'échantillon d'immunoglobuline à d'autres analyses telles que LC-MS.
